Application
To apply, please do the following:
1. Fill out the application at the end of this brochure or online at the Marco Polo-ZHENG He Academy website: http://www.copl.info or http://lawnet.xmu.edu.cn/cols/index.aspx.
2. Send a letter of good academic standing from your school, law firm or institution;
3. Send a letter of recommendation from a professor of your school;
4. Send a copy of English fluency certification;
5. Send a legible photocopy of the first page of your passport;
6. Send emergency contact numbers;
7. Enclose a current resume;
8. By date of final payment, show proof of registration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country for your travel in China.
Application deadline: 5 June 2011
Applications must be received on or before this date. Complete applications are reviewed for admission to courses by the teaching faculty. Incomplete applications, applications lacking supporting documents or signatures, will not be reviewed.
For the summer programs in 2011, the application deadline is on May 31, 2011. Application must be received before deadline (included).
To apply to the 2011 summer programs, applicants must complete the following application materials:
1. Application Form;
2. One letter of recommendation;
3. One copy of English fluency certificate;
4. Resume;
5. One legible photocopy of the first page of your passport;
6. Emergency contact number;
7. A non-refundable application fee of US$50.
Applicants may contact International Programs Office at LLMprogram@sjtu.edu.cn with informal inquiries prior to applying for the summer programs. Please make sure that all the documents are sent to International Program Office.Law students, attorneys, other legal professionals, and people of similar academic background are eligible for our summer programs. Applicants, whose native language is not English, should be certificated with English fluency ability.
